I am obsessed with fashion illustrator Lena Ker!
I love her work, I feel strangely in love with all her fashion illustrations a feeling I haven’t felt since I was a child and looked through mummy’s vogue magazines. I remember wishing and wanting to be everything in those pages, a playful dream world of dress up, a world before I knew how it all works. I would be so excited to cut the models clothes out of the magazine, turning them into my own couture clothes for my paper dolls I made. These days we are literally waiting for a star wars esq, 4D projecting magazine of some sort, everything is so glossy and perfect. It’s so refreshing to see these illustrations that are beautiful yet still so raw and so very cool. Instead of the gloss and that jaded feeling I get when I look at the real thing, when I look at the illustrations I feel something else, something naive something that allows me to dream. Maybe thats It? She needs to make a fashion illustration magazine and a paper doll fashion book and my life would be complete again.
